I've been a Meraki MX user since Nov '14 and I think it's a great product but it lacked a community for it's users to collaborate on the direction we want the product to go in with new features. I want this to get the attention of Meraki and hopefully they'll join us in implementing these features.

1/4/16 Update: Meraki has begun responding to various posts!

Right now this site running on the free version of UserEcho so it doesn't have some features I'd like it to have (such as tagging).

Allow customers to see reboot logs and device uptime on MX

Rob Geoghan 9 years ago 0
I've had a couple cases where support initially missed seeing that my MX rebooted. As a customer I should see that in the event logs and SNMP. It also seems like it needs to be easier for support to see that as well.

Title says it all.

Sometimes when troubleshooting an issue I'd like to reboot the MX overnight.

Meraki health status page

Rob Geoghan 7 years ago 0

I assume that the dashboard was down 2/28 because of the Amazon S3 outage. Please create an independent site where I can check the health status of the Meraki dashboard similar to what Amazon (https://status.aws.amazon.com) and many other providers have.

Ability to telnet/SSH from MX

Rob Geoghan 9 years ago 0
I would like the ability to telnet or SSH from the MX.  Recently I was troubleshooting an outbound email issue only to find that the ISP was blocking port 25 traffic.  Without being able to test this myself I had to use the packet capture which was a bit cumbersome.

FIPS 140-2 Validation

msemack 7 years ago 0

We need to be using FIPS 140-2 validated encryption for Wi-Fi and VPN tunnels. This is a hard requirement for NIST 800-171, which is required for all DoD contractors, and subcontractors, and THEIR subcontractors. We have to be compliant by 12/31/2017. If not we have to scrap our Meraki gear.
